BilliardHutch Match Earnings Rule v1.0

The players create the show. They can share in the value.

BilliardHutch monetized match broadcasts are designed around informed player consent and an agreed money plan before the stream starts. A streamer, promoter or venue should never monetize a featured player performance under BilliardHutch and leave the players guessing whether they participate in the revenue.

THE RULE

No monetized featured match without a Match Earnings Agreement.

Before GO LIVE, identify who is being paid, what money is being shared, how it is calculated, and what media rights each player grants.

For a BilliardHutch-approved monetized featured match, every earning participant must be disclosed and every adult player must accept the agreement before the broadcast starts. If a player is under 18, the parent or legal guardian accepts the commercial terms. A participant may agree to a zero-percent share, a fixed appearance fee, a revenue share, direct support only, or a combination — but that choice must be informed and recorded.

Concrete process

Seven checks before GO LIVE.

1
Declare whether the match is monetized.
Monetized includes match-specific sponsorship, paid access, pooled viewer support, attributable advertising revenue, or other commercial revenue tied to the broadcast.
2
Name every earning participant.
Player A, Player B, streamer/producer, promoter or venue, and any other person or entity receiving a defined share. BilliardHutch fees are disclosed separately rather than hidden inside a participant percentage.
3
Choose each player’s compensation model.
Fixed appearance fee, revenue share, direct player support, hybrid compensation, or an informed zero-share agreement.
4
Define the split for each pooled revenue bucket.
The percentages for a pooled bucket must total 100%. Direct support sent specifically to Player A or Player B is not automatically pooled.
5
Define recording and reuse rights separately.
Live-only, replay, highlights/clips, promotional use, and commercial archive rights are explicit choices. Permission to livestream does not automatically mean unlimited future commercial use.
6
Get acceptance before the match begins.
Adults accept their own terms. A parent or legal guardian accepts for a minor. Venue/event media rights must also be satisfied where applicable.
7
Lock the agreement at GO LIVE.
No participant’s percentage or earned amount can be reduced after the stream begins without that participant’s explicit agreement. Changes are prospective unless everyone expressly agrees otherwise.
Revenue buckets

Different money can follow different rules.

💚
Direct Player SupportA viewer chooses a specific player. That support is attributed to that named player, less only disclosed processor/platform charges and required adjustments. It is not split with the opponent merely because they are in the same match.
🤝
Support the MatchGeneral match support goes into the agreed pooled split for that broadcast.
🎟️
Match Pass / PPVEligible net paid-access revenue follows the agreed PPV split after disclosed taxes, refunds, chargebacks, processor costs and platform fees.
🏢
Match SponsorshipA sponsor paying for the match follows the sponsor split. A sponsor contracted specifically to one player may be treated as that player’s separate sponsorship if disclosed.
📣
Attributable AdvertisingWhen BilliardHutch ad sharing is active, eligible match-attributable ad revenue follows its disclosed split.
🛍️
Merch / Affiliate SalesCreator- or player-attributed commerce stays with the attributable creator unless the agreement intentionally pools it.
Player rights

Consent to the camera is not a blank check.

LIVE RIGHTS

Permission to show the match live.

REPLAY RIGHTS

Permission to keep the full replay available after the match.

CLIP / HIGHLIGHT RIGHTS

Permission to create and distribute excerpts and highlights.

PROMOTIONAL RIGHTS

Permission to use approved match images/clips to promote BilliardHutch, the event or future broadcasts.

COMMERCIAL ARCHIVE

Permission for future paid or sponsored exploitation of the recorded match, if separately granted.

WITHDRAWAL / EXPIRY TERMS

The agreement can state whether rights expire, remain perpetual, or can be withdrawn for future use under specified conditions.

DISPUTE RULE
If a material earnings or consent dispute is raised, undistributed disputed amounts should be held from payout where technically possible until the dispute is resolved. Undisputed amounts should not be withheld merely to create leverage. Fraud, chargebacks, refunds and legal obligations can still require adjustments.
CURRENT BETA PROCESS

Use the rule now; automate it next.

Native BilliardHutch split payments are not active yet. During the founding beta, the agreement builder below creates a written record that the organizer can copy or email to the participants. Each adult participant — or guardian for a minor — should affirm the final terms in writing before a BilliardHutch-approved monetized featured broadcast. When native payments launch, the same agreement structure is intended to become the in-app pre-GO-LIVE gate and earnings ledger.

This public platform rule is an operating policy, not individualized legal advice. Event contracts, publicity/privacy rights, labor rules, child-performer rules, tax rules and venue/media rights can vary by jurisdiction and event.
